Alessandro Vicentini is an Italian sculptor born in Mantova, where he currently lives. He is an emergent sculptor and an autodidact artist. Alessandro has started to work as a woodworker in 2000 when the instinct to transforming the Woden pieces into subjects of sculptures has birthed in him very soon.
He started modeling trees, but he aspires to carve with marble. Material is harder to work with comported to wood, although it gives an extra satisfaction. The works of Alessandro derive from studies of pieces of ancient sculpture, an art that transmits him a sense of quiet and hope. And art will never end.
